![]() If any one of the ink cartridges is out it won't allow me to use the scan or fax function which is a bit confusing to me as I don't need to print anything when I'm just going to scan or fax.Very easy install and works great so far. I have already used up the ink that came with it, so I purchased a CISS system for it.Ink is easy to replace and the cartridges have red lights which blink when low, though you can't see them unless you access the ink bay.nk seems to last a long time-after the nightmarish set up requiring 1/2 ream of config printing, I thought I would have to dig into the back up cartridges I purchased up front. With individual ink cartridges, you just replace each as they empty. One of the selling points on this printer for me is that it uses five separate ink cartridges - pigment ink in black for b/w document printing and dye ink in black, cyan, magenta and yellow.I thought it would surely be higher than my 6 year old MP600, but it only scans at 600dpi The specs didn't say anywhere what the max scanner resolution is. The scanner software that comes with it is pretty crummy, with completely unhelpful directions that took too long to figure out.Photo color is dull, even on maximum resolution, with new ink and high-quality photo paper.I can print, scan, or copy paper with good to excellent resolution (depending on the quality setting). The printer can print at resolutions of up to 9600x2400 DPI for color and 600圆00 DPI for black and white documents. The print quality of the MX922 is incredible.Because of the Canon, I now make personalized holiday cards on Microsoft Word and print them with the MX922 to create special cards that you just can't buy at the store.Photos look amazing, almost to the point where they look professionally printed Pictures are sharp and colors are vivid, even when printing on regular photo paper. Printing photos on photo paper yields incredible results.Canon MX922 Wireless Office All-In-One Inkjet Printer
